#26 | Winnipeg, Manitoba

Aashna and myself decided to make a trip to check out Beyonce and Jay Z's "On the Run" tour. We left early Saturday morning to make the most of our first day. I haven't been to Winnipeg in a while but I used to go frequently as a child so I knew we had to check out the Forks. We checked in, grabbed a bite at Blufish Sushi and hit up the Forks' market for Aash's first time to take photos, become tourists and (sadly) eat more at food trucks.

The other reason why we came to Winnipeg was to visit Chris of Olé Denim and check out some of Winnipeg's retailers and NuBurger. I had the opportunity to look at places where we would potentially like to have our denim based on the staff, store layout and product mix. We finished up with a chickpea burger called the Un Burger, which I highly recommend!

Later than evening we hit up the Investor's Group Field and ran into a bunch of Saskatoon people including my homie Ron! After hearing about all of these rumours about Beyonce and Jay Z breaking up, I felt skeptical of what sort of chemistry the two would have on stage but this may have been the best show that I had ever seen. From Bey's bootylicous dancing to Jay's cool swag, these two are fantastic at what they do and I would love to see my celebrity crush and husband again.

Our last day we spent some time at the Forks and made our way back to the city. I hope I can come back soon!

#25 | Diefenbaker Park

It's always fun going out and shooting these days, I like to see what my eye can capture and share it with friends, family and the Internet. Today I went out with Jeremy, Alan and Brayden, these guys all know a significant more than me so I am always listening for tips and checking out their gear. We intended to shoot around the exhibition grounds but ended up at the new Circle Drive bridge and Diefenbaker Park. For the first time, I played with my manual focus and Alan's 35mm Sigma lens. Check out some of the shots I took, hopefully they are progressively getting better.

#24 | Midnight Marauders w/ The Liminal State

Last night I roamed downtown late at night with The Liminal State taking photos of his good friend Simon, parking lots and other things we came across downtown. I'm personally not a huge fan of shooting at night because all I am capable of using is natural light but thankfully I could edit to save some of my photos. Here are all of the photos that were worth posting!

Check out The Liminal State's Instagram here.
