To celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Air Max technology, Nike released the original Air Max 1 with a twist and created a holiday called "Air Max Day". This was a successful campaign for Nike with the company selling a ridiculous amount of Air Max 1's and having photos being shared by the minute. Large sneaker blogs, fashion blogs, Instagram accounts, Twitter accounts and more have been sharing the pair(s) of Air Max's that were worn today with their followers.
I had to get involved by wearing the Air Max 1 SP "Monotones Vol. 1". These are actually deadstock, so I tried to break them in at work. The neutral grey colour way is given spotted laces, a carbon fiber and speckled canvas upper and a seamless Swoosh. The silhouette is classic and this specific shoe was made a hit with all of the little details.
