#33 | Sirvis @ Prairie Sun Brewery

Yesterday I met up with Sirvis to photograph him finishing up his latest piece on the Prairie Sun Brewery building at Circle Dr. and Quebec Ave. We talked about doing photos a couple of weeks ago and not that I'm surprised, but this is the coolest shit I have seen him do so far. The piece itself was intricate with his colour choice, letter styling and detailing. This guy hustles around Saskatoon and I think you should get familiar with his work. Sirvis is more than an artist, he is defined by his stories, experiences and his aspirations, if you see him around give him a minute of your time to introduce yourself and say what's up! You can expect a lot more from him and hopefully more photos from me.

#25 | Diefenbaker Park

It's always fun going out and shooting these days, I like to see what my eye can capture and share it with friends, family and the Internet. Today I went out with Jeremy, Alan and Brayden, these guys all know a significant more than me so I am always listening for tips and checking out their gear. We intended to shoot around the exhibition grounds but ended up at the new Circle Drive bridge and Diefenbaker Park. For the first time, I played with my manual focus and Alan's 35mm Sigma lens. Check out some of the shots I took, hopefully they are progressively getting better.

#18 | The Other Guy

Kid Robot and their do it yourself pieces including the Munny (the silhouette above) have easily been accepted into art and culture with the help of creative individuals. Yesterday was my friend Riley's birthday and we've been exchanging gifts for the past 13 years. This year I wanted to change it up and do something different than clothing or liquor. We go back to elementary school having Star Wars marathons and playing Jedi Power Battles for Playstation and he has always had a love for Yoda.

A friend of mine who calls himself The Other Guy has made a name for himself here in Saskatoon by working on Kid Robot pieces and it continues to spread with the help of the internet. I reached out to him at a inconvenient time where he was working on a big project for a customer and asked him to do this Yoda when he was done with his current commitments. Within two days, I was surprised with a completed Yoda. I liked it so much, that I wanted to keep it for myself but don't they say that a good gift is one that you would get for yourself? Regardless, hopefully you like this piece Riley.

Thanks again to The Other Guy! You can view his Instagram account here.
