#44 | Toronto, Canada

To get to Costa Rica, we first had to spend 24 hours in Toronto to wait for our second flight. I was excited for this though as I have never been to the city and was looking forward to visit friends, eat food and shop. As soon as we finished checking into our hotel, we caught an Uber to Ramen Isshin that was recommended by our good friend Ron. We waited 30 minutes for a seat but it was well worth it when I took my first bite of the thick ramen noodles and slurped my spicy miso soup (it may have converted me from being a shoyu fan). Aashna was also hooked on her vegetarian version of the spicy miso ramen which was quite tasty and pretty different from my pork broth.

After chowing down on some delicious noodles we decided to burn some calories by heading downtown to check out some stores including Livestock, Reigning Champ and Uniqlo. I figured I should buy a couple of long sleeves to throw in my bag and after that we hit up Bar Fancy and Warehouse for some drinks and fried chicken with some of our friends.

To end off the night, we purchased tickets to check out the Toronto FC vs LAFC match at BMO Field. The stadium is great as it seemed that every seat in the house had a decent view and the game itself was exciting. Toronto didn't produce the result they were hoping for as they lost 4-2 but it was filled with great goals. Jozy Altidore and Carlos Vela were a blast to watch create chances and finish opportunities.

The day went by quickly but I'm already a Toronto fan. I'm looking forward to going back to eat more food and roam the streets that we didn't have the opportunity to explore.

#43 | I'm Back (for now)

Well, it's been three years since I've contributed to writing on this page and doubt that it's even searchable on Google. It wasn't until this morning when I was planning a new vacation and jokes of vlogging that I remembered that this old Blogspot account still existed. Now that I think about it, I have done a fair bit of traveling over these past three years and ironically, 'SiuMing Meets World' will never see it. At the beginning of September, Aashna and I will be heading to Costa Rica to get away, clear the mind, experience something new and all of that other good stuff that comes with travelling and vacations. This time we just may work together on writing and photography to share our travels once we return.

The trip itself isn't fully planned but it was originally Aash's idea to head south. She quickly talked me into it after describing the beaches, forests, clear waters and the food. Our current plans are to head to Toronto for a day followed by Arenal/La Fortuna, Monteverde Cloud Forest, Manuel Antonio and San José. I don't want to giveaway too much of what we have planned but if anyone here is indeed reading this and have any suggestions, please let me know!

#42 | Behind the Scenes with Olé

Just the other week I spent time with Brayden and Alan shooting one half of our Olé lookbook. We had the idea of photographing the lifestyle of two individuals in two different cities. It is important to us that Olé can fit in one's life no matter what the world can throw at them. Take a look at what we did with JJ and stay tuned for the full lookbook.

#41 | Olé Denim Samples

The sample process has been a very long but rewarding procedure for us but thanks to our suppliers, producers, Chris and Dallas, we have slowly developed something that we as consumers want to wear and as businessmen are happy and proud to share with the public. As we now go into the final production stages, I want to thank everyone for their support and interest and want to let you know that 2015 is a big year for Olé. We are happy that there are people out there who are as excited as we are! Shout out to Joey Visser for the all of the photos.
